Anyone running a 3" downpipe on a Greddy kit?
I am trying to piece together a new exhaust for my Greddy setup and I am wondering if 3" is possible from the elbow back. It seems like the clearance from the oil line to the pipe is really small right now, so I wanted to see if anyone was running it and if they had clearance issues.
I also was wondering if 3" would be overpiping such a small turbo setup. Should I stick with a 2.5" downpipe and 3" exhaust instead?
This is for an Integra, BTW.

a 3in dp will gain you power reguardless. i would stick with the 2.5 DP and 3 inch exhaust though.

OK, I'll probably just run a 2.5" and not worry about clearance issues. The bottleneck still exists at the elbow, though.

my friend locally makes a 3in DP for the greddy kit, bolts up to the elbow and on the 2 cars he made it for, he didn't have any spiking issue, just went 3in off the elbow, under the oil pan and then into 3in exhaust or open dump. the biggest problem he had was the stock return line will melt if next to the downpipe, so had to redo the line in Stainless steal and wrapped the DP with heater wrap, no issues thus far and if imagineable, the car spools faster.

2.5 seems best for the greddy set up..
that is what i was running on mine and i noticed a bit of a power increase over the tiny 2 inch DP

Yeah, I redid the oil return line because it was leaking and the heat wrap **** was a joke. I am still worried about it rubbing against the downpipe, so I will probably just opt for a 2.5" DP instead.

a 2.5 would flow nicely for a greddy kit. and also it allows more room, just flair to 3'' under the oilpan. thats what i would do.

Just do what i did, buy a 3inch v-band adapter from ATP turbo (replaces elbow) then buy some bends and fab up the whole thing. while you are in there port the wastgate and take care of the possible boost spike. The turbo will spool so much faster with that elbow replaced, and the elbow is what robs you from a lot of power. Just be prepared to lose the A/C.
