my friends setting me up a greddy turbo and im wondering if i can just buy a 3inch downpipe after he sets my turbo up... i have a 3inch exhaust pipe already and all but im wondering if i can just install the downpipe right on after?? can anyone help me on this and see what i can do

When you say you already have 3" exhaust now, is that crappy crush bent or mandrel bent?

He'd probably be more willing to reply honestly if you saved the bashing of his exhaust til sfter he responds. lol. Of COURSE it's mandrel bent avionic titanium

 

actually i didnt mean it like that i dont have a downpipe ready. im wondering what pipe i should get or if there is a downpipe for greddy that i can get so i can slap on after he puts it on. or should it already come with a downpipe?

Yes, the greddy kit should be complete. It's a complete kit from the get-go, no reason he shouldn't be giving you the downpipe with it.

 

well actually all turbos have a downpipe? cuz hes only using the greddy turbo not the kit.

all turbos have an exhaust housing that needs to have a downpipe attached. getting a 3" for that turbo will require a custom made downpipe. pretty sure the outlet is only 2", i know kteller makes a 2.5" downpipe upgrade for the 15g.

Then again, its only a 15g. Not like were dealing with some huge GT series turbo.
