Anyone know much about this particular turbo???
i am intrested in boosting a LS motor and a friend of mine has a turbo sitting in his garage he said i can have for a small fee....
Its a Garrett Tb03 .53AR and i think its a .48 trim i think he was saying...
My question is will this turbo be a good match for a daily driven b18b1 Ls motor..

im using a garret saab turbo with a .42 and it works great on my b16a3 till about 8 psi then puckers out of spool.

I have almost the same turbo and I'm getting a bigger one. It spools full boost at around 3600-3800 rpm but after about 5500 rpms your shifting. They don't move very much air ether. I'll try to post a plotted compressor map later if I get a chance. your good up till around 75% engine capacity then it goes steadly down hill.

Poor guys. :\
i run a t3/t04e on my geo. 5 lbs at 2,900 rpm in 5th gear.... can't tell when i hit full boost, no time to look at guages.. maybe a datalong .. hrmm
