Anyone have problems with the Pocket Programmer from Hondata?

Default Anyone have problems with the Pocket Programmer from Hondata?

I cant get mine to program chips for anything. When I put the chip in there it says ig can not identify device and wont write anything.. I tried numerous good/blank chips and nothing.. WTF is up with this thig?

Are you trying to burn 27C256 chips (one time program -- 12 volts required) or 29C256 chip (rewritable flash -- only 5 volts required) ?

There was an issue with some of the earlier programmers that had low programming voltage. Mine only puts out about 7 volts when trying to program a 27C256 chip, so I can only use it on the flash chips.

I hear Eagle has an updated version that they'll sell you for cheap.
