Anyone have; stock ls gt28rs(disco)? want to know if i will like.
Just wondering if anyone has the setup that I am building. It will be a stock jdm b18b with mini-me and gt28rs. Not sure what injectors i will run yet, but we are going to use hondata, 3" exhaust, and less then 10psi. If you have a similar set up please give me feed back on your thoughts. thanx guys.

A redlined B18B welcomes 21 lbs/min of air, and at ~10 psi, thats almost smack-dab in the middle of the 77% 'bubble' on the gt28rs's corrected airflow chart. It equals a max efficiency of 79% for the gt28rs and 77% for the gt28r (guessing since it falls right in the middle on the lines for both).
In layman terms, a great turbo if you ever plan to boost a bit more w/higher redline. I'm in the same boat, but since the LS has the lower torque already, I'm going with the RS. If nothing else, buy a cheap T25 for testing - same boltup as the gt28rs, compressor outlet is slightly different. If you like quick spool & the midrange it gives you, get the gt28r (and sell the t25 for what you bought it for). If its a street/strip car, get the RS.

Well my goals are pretty low, just want a clean looking fast street car. Looking for about 200 whp, and keep it drivable. I have heard really good things about the gt28rs, just wanted to make sure it is a good match up for my goals. (quick spool)

Ha! I think you could make 200 WHp at about 6 psi with that turbo.
I have the larger 3071 w/ .48 A/R, it spools in an instant above 3500. The GT28 will spool even faster.

oh man I didn't realize they dyno tested the gt28RS on a b17. damn taht's EXACYTLY what I wanted tos ee lol. What' the standard inelt size of the GT28RS? 2.75"?

Sounds like the gt28rs is the snail for me. Would be nice to find someone with a b18b/a with the disco on it to ring in.
