Default Any hondas here running Haltech

I wanted to see if anyone out there was running a haltech system on their honda because I have a few questions with my ignition set up.

Whats happening is I think my ignition is advancing to far as the revs go up I am gonna say probably in the neighbor hood of like 30-40 deg. underboost.

Does the E6k need to be re-tuned if the temp changes within 20 degrees ?

What do you mean exactly. You tune it and you can drive it in all weather and temp situation......you have to finetune the cold start up choke programm, cause it is hard to tune it at one time, cause the engine heats up quick, so you have to programm the start up map a few times.

here in Ny during the summer the average temp is 80 degrees. in the winter it's about 30 degress.

if the car is tuned during the summer, will it have to be re-tuned during the winter?

no, normaly the programmer-guy has the knowledge how to tune the map for colder temps. If the car does not start good, you should richen up the mixture in the collant map, maybe play a bit with the timing.

Is it easy to use and tune compared to other ECUs?

if your ignition map is correct, but you have the distributor reluctors wired backwards, the timing will change as the rpms increase.

Well I cant really datalog cause the car melted the rings on cyl. 1 & 2 but I was watching the haltech data page during the dyno run and it just has it going to 15 deg. what I have it set for. but I think it was going a lot further because of a previous test that I ran.

i never thought it was possible because a reluctor is just an electromagnet so to speak, but there is a + and - on a reluctor.
