another trying to decide on a turbo thread (sorry)
well the bottom end bearings went out in my ARRRR swap...so it's time to rebuild, and since i reached my N/A goal so easily, i've decided to boost it.
i just bought some 9:1 JE's swing on eagles...and am staying stock sleeves. I really don't care to make 4,000,000 whp...since it's my daily driver and anything over 350ish is basically useless on the street anyways. But, i will hit hte track all the time...and will probally end up hitting the dyno with some race gas just for ***** and giggles...so i'd like to hit at least 400whp, but the most at the track will be 375ish.
but..i'm trying to decide on a turbo. I figure i'll get something that maxes around 500ish...so it won't take insane boost to hit 400ish.
I'm looking at the 57 trim .63 a/r off cheap turbos...the 60 trim .63 a/r...and the 60-1 .63 a/r
but..what about the .48 a/r 60-1...would that be a decent pic?
the rest of my setup will be:

either the NEW detal gate or a 38mm tial
some kind of mani...not sure yet...hope to find a nice one used
3" downpipe
3" cat-less exhaust (screw the trees)
650cc saturated injectors
2.5" intercooler piping (pending someone tells me what bends to buy!!!)
and i'll be tunning via wideband and chipped ecu, with a little help from joseph davis and mark riley
said piston/rod combo

of those i would probly go t3/60-1 .63 ar, but you do have other choices. If you are keen on stayin with cheapturbo you may wanna look into the "blowzilla" or t3/to4e 60 trim .63 ar. But there are other choices out there like precision's turbos and turbos from full-race. This would be my advice if you want a turbo that "maxes" out around 500whp

well, i was leaning towards the 57 trim...but i doubt it'd do what i really wanted it to
i'd like to have a turbo that makes around 350ish on 14psi...
but, honestly, i'm cheap....so i'm looking towards low mile used ones right now...but pending on how some things turn out...i might get a new one
