Im in the midst of designing an alcohol injection kit that will use two stock injectors hooked up to switches that will spray an alchy solution in the intake. What should i use as a solution? ive heard xylene, but thats only mixed with gas. would this be functional as an injection solution???
I have that kit. It's good for the money, however there were a few changes I had to do. I wish it had a two stage adjustable pressure adjustable on set point, but that's being picky

yes you spray it in addition to fuel. Its not the same as n2o though because n2o actually adds oxygen to the combustion. Basically I would use it as more of a safety precaution, like running high octane fuel. Although by using it you can effectively raise your boost level, indirectly making more power.
yeah thats what i gathered i only wondered if u use it like Nitrous, not the same, just analogous methods...and do you spray whenever you want, or obvioulsly spray when boost is reached.
I'm sure you could rig it to kick in at a certain rpm, but most people use a pressure switch so it will kick on when a certain boost level is reached. I'm sure you could do a manual switch but that would be dumb.
ahh...y doesnt this guy get a small fuel cell, stock honda fuel pump or whatever he wants, and lines to run through the firewall, and connect the switch to his 2 injectors and run a regular fuel rail with 2 holes plugged, and a fuel filter if necessary, would that setup work..?
also how do you rig or get a pressurized switch
also how do you rig or get a pressurized switch
I dont see why a setup like that wouldnt work. You can get the pressure switches at the auto parts store I could be wrong but I think someone said it was called a hobbs switch....could be wrong though.

I planned on using a windshield washer motor, a custom resevior, and I was going to mount the injectors in the chargeline right before the TB...anybody have any links to that SMC enterprise??? Im too lazy to search.

thats a good idea for the washer pump...but how are you connecting it to the back of the injector? and are you going to split the tubes into 2 to the injectors, or use 2 pumps?

I will run a T and slip the tubing over each injector. The injectors will be mounted with a custom bracket of course
sorta like this:
I was gonna use some of my good friend "Jack Daniels". j/k. Um, I was still wondering if xylene would work...

you just need plain ole rubbing alky you buy of the drug store it evaporates and mixes very well with ater mixture a 50/50 mix is what most of the guys use
and you could basicaly keep the washer reservoir in the stock location and fill it with the alc. then rig a pressure switch to it and run constant power also?
also does this ever help NA motors? and would it be pointless to run on a low boost motor like 9lbs?

you run lower octane gas with the alky injection setups read some of the pressure increase guys with the turbo regal and gnx do they have soem incrediable gains

Nope, I will add two more injectors. I will be running 8 injectors, I was just showing you how I would mount the two additional ones and run the lines to them.
Stock location would be sweet, but that, along with my front end, is long gone...

how 8 injectors 4+2=6??? lol sorry..
anyways what do you mix the rubbing alc. with to make the 50/50 solution?
and where can i find a pressure switch thatll turn on at say .45 bar?
im gonna try this on my friends car, and we're not gonna move the washer reservoir just fill it with alc. and moves the hoses onto 2 injectors.
run the pump and injectors to constant power with the pressure switch in the middle.
also have a total shut off switch that can be used to turn it off completely.
that should work?

lso if using location on the TB, y cant u just use the windshield washer squirter instead of injectors so u use less wiring? ur do you need a certain flow rate?
