Default ACK! Wrong oil return fitting

It is a 1/8" unless it's metric, the thread size isn't as fine as NPT, so what else can it be? Come on guys help me out, I need the car running tomorrow =/.

Ok i used a link in this forum to buy my fittings for my oil feed, everything fit fine except for my oil feed, I used a straight 1/8" NPT to -3AN adapter and it leaked when I first started up my turbo... before I started I forgot to prime the turbo with oil.... do you think running the car(idling) for about 1-2min would **** it up(seals, etc..)? Anyway I removed the oil feed and the fitting from the turbo, the threads in the turbo look undamaged(thank god) but the threads on the fitting are spaced out when compared to another of the exact same fitting. I am using this turbo:
http://www.turbocalculator.com...0-002

any idea what other thread size it might be so I can go buy the correct fitting tomorrow?

On another note... there was an insane amount of smoke coming from the engine bay when I started, should I be worried about that or is it just oil and such on the downpipe burning off? My exhaust seems alot quieter then before =/... I hope its not an issue with the downpipe i got made.

your turbo is fine.. the smoke is probably from the oil leaking onto hot areas on the turbo / downpipe and burning. oh and your exhaust is quieter because a turbo is a restriction technically untill it begins boosting.. turbos are known to quiet down exhausts slightly. im not sure on the size of the oil send fitting.. someone here probably would know.. but your good to go other then that

thanks that puts my mind to ease, do you think I couldve messed up my turbo without priming it with oil before I started it?

If anyone knows the right size fitting please tell me, I would like to go buy it tomorrow so I can begin tuning.

It would only take a few seconds for oil to reach you turbo so as long as you did not rev it, it will be ok. It will have a small amount of oil in it from being tested anyway. DONT MAKE A HABBIT OF IT!

Im pretty sure you need the get a 1/4NPT to !/8NPT adapter and then put the 1/8NPT to -3 fitting

Isn't 1/8 and 1/4 the diameter of the fitting? If so i'm pretty sure there is no way it can be 1/4.

alright well im gonna try going to a hardware store today and see if they can do anything with the way the brass threads are spread out from the turbos' threads.

i think the threads on the turbo are 10mm x 1.0 pitch, i am going to buy a Tap and Die set tomorrow and find a M10x1.0 die and hand rethread this 1/8"... I have one in 10mm x 1.25 pitch but I haven't tried it yet.
