how to untap oil pan?
I have a 91 Civic HB with a D16Y8 built motor going in. When I got the motor the oil pan was already tapped for turbo. My turbo isn't going on till summer. What would be the best thing to do to plug the tap?

Absolutly......... Just make sure the clamps are tight. It's no different than if it were hooked up really when you think about it.

I would just try to find a spare oil pan - That is kind of dangerous, if the bolt comes out when your driving the oil is coming with it. Im sure you could find another oil pan for cheap. Just my opinion

Good idea if you've got a spare pan but............. Why go through the extra expense? If you clamp on the nipple comming out of the pan and on the bolt used to seal the rubber hose the chances of it comming apart are slim to none. Cost = $0.25

u can get a longer hose, do the bolt trick thing. then tie strap it to secure. i dont think it would be any different than clamping it to a turbo. besides the extra length of hose will be used anyway, with the turbo. $.02
