Drag manifold SC34, 85mm ls/vtec. Made 425 at 18psi on 93 octane, made 475whp at 18psi on E85, but fuel pressure was falling pretty bad so i had to shut it down early. Going to add another pump soon and max it out. lol</TD></TR></TABLE>

On the same boost, that is a huge gain. I haven't seen any gains that big yet with just the 91/93-&gt;e85 fuel switch. Nice.

Yeah, just a fuel switch. A the car boost creeps really bad (drag manifold) so i had to pull a ton of timing to keep it together on pump gas. I was able to tune it to where it wanted to be on the E85. The reason the gains were so big is (in my opinion) we were past the safe limits of the 93 octane, but couldn't turn the boost down, so the tune had to be adjusted to keep things safe.

That makes a lot of sense. The most I've seen so for has been 8% and that was on a hot-air-blower (aka JRSC) car, so it makes sense that something like that would pick up a little more. Good stuff nonetheless.

Just depends how far you are from the knock limit of the fuel in relation to MBT. A car at 250hp on 93 wouldn't pick up much at all, vs. a car at 450hp on 93.

Same situation with pumpgas/racegas. I would speculate that you would get about the same power on racegas (less ~5% or so) that you did on e85.

That's what's so cool about e85. Its perfect for the higher-hp streetcars who want to make more power than 91/93 will handle without paying for racegas everyday

The testing that i did at 22psi on the 552hp car, made about 30whp less with C16. Looks like i better stock up on 1600cc injectors! lol

Another nice thing is that the engine runs cooler on E85. Not a big deal now, but will be come 110deg. summertime!
