500whp single slammer
So theres a guy on turbod16.com putting down 405 whp with a z6 everything stock minus vitara pistons and eagle rods, with mostly a ebay turbo setup. Hes on 25 lbs and putting out 405 whp. So he agreed i might not have a problem with this but i figured some h-t turbo gurus would helpe me out.
z6 block
vitara pistons
eagle rods
acl bearings
y8 head
port and polished
zex cam and valvetrain
portmatched IM (y8)
hondata im gasket
arp headstuds
turbo kit:
3" inlet, 2" oulet diameter.
Wet foating bearings 1/8 NPT oil inlet Standard T3/T4 Flange.
57 Compressor wheel trim, .63 A/R turbine, .50 A/R Compressor
uberdata tuned on dyno/street
750cc injectors
so thats the setup and im going to go for 30 lbs and theres plenty of people in there mid to high 20s on these pistons, what do you guys think?

Re: (jaydem_ekizzle)
ive seen setups with ALOT more time and money involved, and they are not breaking 500.
It seems overwelming to think u can do it with just that.

Honestly I will believe anything anymore. Would not surprive me if you could make 500whp on a bone stock car anymore. GO FOR IT!!
All these little setups putting down tons of power is crazy. I dont get it, but it's happening.
I personally dont think they are going to be relieable at all, but that's just my opinion.
FAST - CHEAP - RELIABLE - pick 2.
platinum.

I would say atleast get springs/retainers and get the bottom end balanced and spin the thing as high as you can while still making power. I think to make that kind of power on a single cam without running an incredible amount of boost will be done with revs and a properly matched turbo. I wouldn't be excited about driving it on the street though.

Re: (93supercoupe)
It's a bit more feasable with N2O spooling a bigger turbo faster. But you're really not going to get it done with just what you have, that's for sure.

I don't know about this but would 750cc injectors have been pretty close to the edge for 500 whp? They should be more than enough for 400 whp.
