Default Wanting to boost my d16. Help and advice.

I have a d16y7 thats starting to burn a little oil. I was thinking about a swap, but I was told about being able to do a cheap "eagle/ vitara" setup then boosting it. I think Im gonna go that route.

I can get a y8 head, but will that make that much more difference? I figured I would try and peice a kit together instead of buying a 3000 dollar kit. I seen alot of guys with a t3/t4 turbo, which is what i was leaning towards. But I see alot of 16G turbo's or the ones off of talons and eclipses that are for sale. The rods ,and pistons? I think thats what the eagle and vitara setup is? Is that just the bottom end? Im not looking to make like 350 whp, just something around 200 whp, mabey a bit more. What size injectors should be run when putting a turbo on?

Basically if someone could just talk a bit about their own setups and the route they went I could get a little better idea on how to build one of these.

look in the SOHC thread...

Eagle rods = rods
Vitara = pistons

Those belong in the bottom end... Perhaps you should read through some of the FAQ at the top of the forum before you start piecing a kit together ... Just my $0.02...
