Default D-Series SOCH Setup/Planning.

I will be getting the y7 block, first thing first is to remove the rust from cylinder walls gRrr!

Here are my plans for my SOCH setup:

-z6/y8 Head (which one?)
* ARP Headstuds
*Will be stock besides some kind of Cams(helps)

-y7 Block
STR Blockguard
ARP blockstuds
Vitara Pistons
SCAT Rods

-z6/y8 tranny

-Precision SC61 TC (cheaper alternatives?!)
-JRC FMIC
-450 Injectors
-Turbo Manifold? (help)

-Hondata s200b

and after all is said and done when i source everything together, i will be then looking for a shell EJ8 or EG ahaha

SOHC, single overhead cam. You only have one. Turbo cams aren't really necessary. I guess if you're going for crazy power you could. I would just get the head ported and a nice valve job. I think that an SC61 is going to be too big even after it's built. If you're going bling precision style, maybe an SC34 would be better. You want a cheap turbo? Get a T3/T4, Good luck.

prob port and valve job and leave head stock, if not sc61, then i probably a good cheap turbo like u said t3/t4. I'm lookin just something that can give people a good run .i.e. mustang's. 220WHP is my goal?

Go with the Z6 head and the Y8 tranny. SC61 may be a little big for your setup, what are your power goals?

I'd go with the z6 head, y8 intake manifold, and a y8 tranny. And you don't need that expensive of a turbo. Get a 60/63 T3 of a Thunderbird/Svo Mustang and your gonna rock.

Damn !!! A SC61 is a way too big for your goal... it would be too laggy first and second this turbo can do a way over 400 whp...

if your goal is 220-250 whp I would go with a SC50 .48ar or cheap T3/T4 .48ar but if I was you I would start with a brand new turbo... and get at least 550 cc injectors if you are using Hondata... the are good to close 300 whp imo... so if you want to raise the boost you can.

Good luck !

Your injectors

You could do 220 hp on stock internals if that is your goal. Get uberdata.

I have a set-up alot like the one you are running.

although
-uberdata tuning
-z6 head ported & polished
-**** a block guard
-srp pistons 9:1
-crower rods
-t3/t/4 turbo
I found this bad *** deal, great customer serice, highly recommend
http://www.blaastperformance.com/t3t04b4860.html
-38mm tial WG and a MBC
-bmc race turbo mani -the new design
-with this set-up, i am gonna have to max out 450's with a PFR and a fuel pump
-z6 intake mani
-ported oil pump (as http://www.theoldone.com did it)
-and either a spearco intercooler or a custom coach

-im hopin to pull about 300whp and a 12sec pass out of it.

i would check out that link above on the turbo, if you are wanting to spend a few $$ on a turbo.

i'm not really sure on Goal right now, just however this can put me in. with the vitara pistons the motor should have around 8:8:1 compression. i'm looking to break 13's but u know more speed is always a want haha. t3/t4 with internal wastegate? with this setup i'm looking aorund 10-12psi boost.

You definatley don't want to go with an SC61 for your setup. It's WAY too big. Look into something smaller.
