300+hp with a 15g?
Ok, well I did a search and only found one page that didnt even answer the guys question.
I do infact remember kelly saying that he made 300+ on a 19t.
But are the 15g and the 19t the same size turbo and only two differnt packeges.
But my question is is it possible to get 300+ on a 15g kit? Thats my goal.
my setup:
Vitaras
eagle rods
dsm 450s
greddy kit
intercooler
walbro 190

No. To get even about 270whp on the D series motor, the turbo needs to be efficient at over .28kg/sec even at 7500rpms at over 15 psi of boost. this turbo is capable of less than 35lbs/min on the compressor wheel. It really wouldn't be possible effectively to get 300whp out of this. Here's the map for you as a reference.
There is no way that you will get 300hp out of the 15g. The max that i have seen is around 260hp @ 16lbs. It makes it even harder that you have low compression with the vitaras.
Im only asking because in another thread the question of how much psi/hp a 15g can make was asked. And kelly replied that he made 300+ on a 19t. Now why would he say that if there wasnt a similarity?...

So does anybody else have any helpful input? Possibly a flow graph for a 19t? I understand that the 15g may not reach 300hp. But I still want to know the diff between the two turbos.

I promise you that you can find the graphs with the google search engine just as fast as we could.
And I think with vitaras and such low compression, you need a turbo that is efficient at a higher boost levels, which would honestly put a 19T at its max as well.

i got a good idea for u to make ur 300whp, swap in the 18g turbo for the 15g, my freind did it on his d series, everything fits the same and just use the 18g downpipe, u will make good power then and the turbo is actually a really good size for a build d series, u can pick one up cheap and use some money from sellin ur 15g, ur practically gettin the 18g for free, u'll be good, goodluck

34.36 lbs/min and thats tapped out. keep in mind that would be 340crank hp at max.. it would get you closer to 300 but not all the way there. and thats assuming 100% ve out of the motor
