Default Newbie Question on turbo

I was unable to find the answers I needed through the search function, so I have a beginners question on turbo. I have the opportunity to get an incredible deal on a Greddy turbo kit for my integra gsr. Goodies include: intercooler w/piping, bov, w/g, turbo timer, etc. The motor is completely stock and I want to know if it's safe to install the turbo kit, and if so how much boost is recommended. Are there any precautions I need to take before installation? Thanks in advance
