Default turbo y7 question

Ok so i have read many times that its not psi that will blow the motor but how much whp. I understand that d series max out at around 225whp or so..........my question is this since my y7 obviously isnt a vtec can you just keep turning up the boost till i reach 200whp which is my goal and just sstop there......on a good tune of course. I know turbo size and everything plays a factor but i was just wondering?

You can make 200 whp on a stock y7 engine without being in danger of damaging the engine if it is properly tuned.

thats what i was wondering but my concern is i see alot off ppl running turbos at about 8psi makeing like 180whp so i was just worried about turning the boost up to make it to 200whp. I know different size turbos and setups effect this kind of thing and that 8 psi on a dsm turbo and on like a super 60 is totally different. I just dont want to blow my motor thats all

to me, its more about the torque level not so much horse power.

i wouldnt push much more than 200ftlb on stock d series rods.

that all i really want 200 whp and 180ftlb tq would be fine something like that whatever. i just know that i will have to run more boost to achieve this since i dont have vtec. so its ok to run a higher boost level as long as i dont go past 200whp/200tq

He means rpm. Don't rev the **** out of it. 200 is a good safe number.
