Default 2 questions: oil smell and vac/boost

I have a 98 hatch with ls motor (no aftermarket internals), gsr tranny. custom turbo kit with mitsu tdo5(sp?) with internal wastegate with log type manifold, generic fmic (its like 6 inch by 48 inch plus or minus inch or two) with mitsu BOV, fmu ( i know i know..), cold spark plugs, walbro 250, 2.5 inch exhaust, stock fuel injectors. its set at 7 psi. first question is...everytime i boost i smell something like burning rubber or maybe even buring oil but my oil level never goes down. and my 2nd question is...is it normal when im idling its at 10~12 vacuum on my boost gauge?

What did you use for your oil return line? Also, any oil in your charge piping?

That smell is blowby my friend. Coming out of the valve cover breather. Hate to be the barrier of bad news, but get ready for those pistons to crack on you. Ringlands are probably shot. Sorry I've been down the roda so i know.
