2 LS motor senerios
one ls motor has a smaller turbo such at a t50 its running at a higher psi vs another ls motor with a slightly bigger turbo such as t57 running at a lower psi both making for arguments sake we will say 250 whp, both motors are running with stock internals is one more reliable than the other. just wondering i have a stock ls motor t50 or (t53 not sure if theres such thing correct me please) making 210 @ around 9-10psi safe to go more with a diffrent map
the motor can handle 250 no problem with a decent tune. the only thing i would suggest would be ARP rod bolts. as that is a weak point on the LS. The question to you is, what type of driving and what kind of power band do you want?? some people love to just about max a turbo out (giving it a broader power band) and some people dont mind some turbo lag (shorter band)
I have a bone stock LS with arp head studs running a 50 trim turbo and I make 250whp at 10psi. LOTS of guys are making 300whp and have been running for years with no problems. It's all in the tune.
do you think more tunning can net me a higher hp he told me i was going to make 200-220 and trying to keep reliablitly in mind i am also running a stock clutch should i go back for a retune after i get better clutch and tires maybe boost controler
Get a clutch now. The stock one will not hold up to much abuse for long.
Your tuner is the most important aspect of the build. Dont cheap out on that if anything else.

I have a stage 3 competitionclutch with a lightened flywheel. I love it... I told the evans tuning I was shooting for 300whp and thats what they recommended, but it is good for more than that. Got a great price on it as well.
