Default advice on a ls-t build

hey guys n00b here (coming from bikes) and just got me a eg with a ls swap already in it. motor B18b has about 100k miles so i was looking at building a ls/vtech build but then figured i could make more for power for cheaper a t-setup. and later do a ls/vtech-t monster
anyways doing a little searching and think i have the turbo nailed that i need
gt28r but was reading from another thread that said the stock new evo motor could be bought for cheaper and do just as well is this true?
also would my goal of 230-250whp dd/track car be possible on $1500-2000? i would like to keep my motor stock for the time being so after reading some post i can go 10 psi on stock right?
would the ls tranny ok to use on this setup?

just letting you know now, don't believe into too much that you read on people's threads unless it's coming from a reputible source. 10 psi should be ok for the ls. as far as turbo, ya the evo turbo is good for you if you want to keep in a budget. 1500-2000 is on the tight side for a turbo kit, fuel, and tuning. i would budget about 2500-3000, if you want a quality turbo car.
