2.0 fully built gsr break in
I have a erl fully built motor for boost. Would it be safe to throw it in the car without the turbo and run it with a stock basemap?

break in procedure i recomend keeping the wastegate open, remove intercooler piping and breaking in the motor NA.
let me give you a link as to what i recommend for a break in procedure...

click tech, then click 85x89 build
follow his break-in procedure. break-in's should last roughly 1 hour. seriously

honestly there are so many ways of breaking in a car. some people take it easy. some put it right on the dyno. There really is no specific way of doing it. I recommend starting it up. hold at a steady 2000/2500 rpm for a lil. shut off. make sure everything is ok. change the oil. no metal shavings. just go out and drive it around. etc etc. after a couple miles its pretty much good to go man.

yep, a buddy of mine build his motor and drove it to the dyno, changed the oil right before and that was it. The first 20 miles really is all that matters. but like ef91 says, there are alot of different ways to do it.

Break it in like your going to drive it. Drive it straight to the tuner, change the oil, strap it to the dyno and start making pulls.
