1993 civic hatch Type R turbo
aight here it goes, I just got my new chasis harness installed in the car and have a few issues with the vehicle running. (keep in mind, this swap is new to the car)
Contents:
Sleeved ITR block
cp pistons
manley rod
GSR head
ferrea os valves, and retainers
stock gsr cams
neukin ramhorn manifold
garrett T3T67 turbo
tial 3mm WG
precision intercooler
precision 1000 injectors
hondata s300
innovate wideband
now the car will start, but will not idle, and when you give it fuel, it studders a lil until you get rpm's up.
let me know if anyone has any ideas. just trying to get this thing running somewhat right so that i can break the engine in and then off to the dyno
i can be contacted here or through text 540-241-2036

Gotta get it tuned bro. Its not gonna run right until you do. Even with a basemap it might still have issues. Best thing to do is to tow it to the tuner. Most people dont break engines in anymore. The theory I always hear and use is break it in like your gonna be running it.

i hav tried several basemaps, regardless of the fact, you should still be able to have this setup run on its own. thanks for all the input

yeah most of the time. I tried a bunch of basemaps before on one of my setups and it never ran right until I got it tuned. It wouldnt idle for **** and barely started up if at all.

deff sounds like the tune basemaps are just a guess, an estimate of what you fuel tables, ignition ect should be and some time the wrong inputs are calculated if you want to break in you motor the safe way put it back to n/a for a while or get a good tune you dont necessarily need a dyno tune to break in a motor.
if it where me i would be very carefull
check your plugs and watch you a/f #
good luck

get it tuned dude...you mensioned "it studders a lil until you get rpm's up." so i think what is happening is that those 1000cc injectors are flooding the engine...

The people I know who got sick of those injector & switched to smaller or more expensive stuff (ID injectors) almost wet their pants after they found out how easy the new stuff idled.
If it's a stock GSR cam, then put stock injectors back in and remove either the WG spring or the clamps on some couplers. Or enable boost cut to be under 1psi. Arive at the tuner's shop early, swap injectors, win.
