Default 600 whp/420 ft lbs Integra Type R at 22psi (Evans-tuning)

I figured I'd go ahead and post up my new dyno tune since I haven't done anything to my car in about 3 years now.

Jeff Evans did another awesome job tuning my car and getting it dialed in nicely for me. The car is mostly for road racing so the tune was on the conservative side, but still made incredible power and the curve is great.

The graph below is from 3 years back when Jeff and I swapped out my ITR cams for Skunk 2 Pro 1 cams. The car made 565 whp pn pump gas with ~3 LESS psi than ITR cams. So for those of you looking to upgrade your cams, I highly recommend the Pro 1's.

2 weeks ago, I re-tuned with Jeff on Hondata S300, but I installed a Bosch 044 inline pump, and a AEM 5 gallon Methanol kit (5 gallons for road racing). The car made 600 whp/420 ftlbs on pump gas and methanol spray. This kit is amazing because it has error warnings for many things such as low fluid, short's, pump issues, etc. Jeff wired and tuned this kit into the S300 so that if any error codes are thrown, the ECU instantly goes to a secondary tune and runs off the low boost tune. We actually purposely tripped a code while it was on the dyno to verify this works. The car went from 22 psi down to 8-10psi to adjust for the code so that nothing would fail. It's pretty neat and will be great for road racing if I get low on fluid and don't want to come off course.

Some specs off the motor:
Retains factory Air Conditioning and Power Steering
GT3582R
Darton Sleeves 84.5mm bore
LS Crank 89 mm stroke
ERL MID kit
9:1 CP Pistons
Manley Rods
Ferrera Competition Plus Valve Train w/ TI retainers & bronze valve guides
Portflow PnP head
Skunk 2 Pro 1 cams

Pump Gas (ITR vs Pro 1 at 18.5 PSI)

Pump Gas w/ Methanol at 22 PSI

I actually don't have any updated pics of the engine bay if that's what you're looking for. I'll try and snap a few tonight and see how they come out.

Love the car, I miss my PY ITR soo much. Did Jeff set the powerband to peak so late or is that just what the car wants to do? It seems like your old tune carried torque alot better....

it just seems like the turbo is running out of steam. but even when his torque drops off its still higher than the peak of his old tune.

Jeff didn't set it like that. I think there is a combination of the turbo running out of steam and potential boost leak somewhere honestly. Regardless this tune still is making more power and torque through every RPM above 4500 rpms than the previous tune so I'm not too concerned with the torque dropping off some. If anything it keeps me having traction.

Those are nice numbers on pump on 18lbs, I've been tempted to run meth seems great. Have you used it on a road course already w/ meth or seen on?

I do not have any "in car" videos currently. But I am heading to Chicago for the Type R expo next weekend July 3-4. I'll see if anyone has a go pro I can borrow to stick on a window. I ran 215 street tires last year and hooked on the road course, my instructor could attest or any of the Type R guys on this forum that were at expo, but I'll do what I can to get a video this time.

Concerning the Hondata setup..honestly I'm not a tuner and only know very little. You'd have to e-mail Jeff Evans and ask him to tune your car or at least explain what to do.

this thing was so composed at autobahn i couldnt believe it.

when jay told me last year i was instructing the "stupid powerful turbo R beginner", i was concerned (lots can go wrong with a boosted car, a new driver, and tons of power)

totsie did so well, and the car was amazing. probably the most solid,stock-like turbo car i've ever ridden in. WELL put together, and amazingly tuned. so simple, so fun.

The tank is in the trunk against the back seat, still leaving room for a spare tire if needed.

I just purchased a HD Go Pro cam for this weekend in Chicago. I'll be posting videos next week.

Also I'll snap some pics of the engine and trunk today to add for you guys.

Friend of mine Clayton met you up at the EXPO... said he was super impressed by your ride and I think you might have turned him from n/a to the darkside.
