15psi on stock MAP sensor?
how is this possible? i thought the stock sensor was only capable of reading 11psi. i was boosting 7psi(wastegate spring) then i put a little "T" in the line and it jumped up to 15psi in 3rd and 4th gear.
could there be a leak somewhere that's allowing this to happen? any help is appreciated.

u can boost all u want on stock map. but the tune tables will stop at 10 or 11 for stock map , after 11 or so psi it stops putting out voltage so ur tune will not go any higher than the 11 psi column , so hopefully that column is set rich cause too much past that and stuff will break.

yea, the map sensor doesnt control what kind of boost you can make (thats the wastegate's job)
it only limits your tuning abilities

The map sensor doesn't limit the amount of boost your setup can produce. You're experiencing boost creep/spiking. What manifold, turbo and wastegate do you have and does this occur often??

Re: (Schister66)
it's never happened before. it used to hold 7 psi all the way through. i thought the MAP would cut me off after i hit 11psi. i have a 3bar map waiting to be installed.

I'm not sure what EMS you're using, but a lot of them you can set up boost cut at 10psi on a stock map sensor to prevent overboosting. The MAP alone will not cut the car off, but if you set up a boost cut just under the max reading range of the MAP it will.
