Crome Base map?

Crome Base map?
Hey I just got the moates chip kit for my p30-010 ecu. It came with a blank chip and I was wondering if anyone has a good basemap for a stock B16A in a crx? I have access to a computer at my school with a chip burner so I would like to burn a map to this chip with crome.
My specs are a stock B16A with a header, full exhaust, and AEM Hybrid CAI. I would like knock sensor disabled, stock rev-limit (8200 right?), and V-tec kick in at 5000rpm.
I would be willing to pay for the map I just don't wanna have to buy a chip with the map already on it since I already have a blank chip and access to a burner.

Then burn it to your chip.

Re: Crome Base map?
So the p30 basemap is alright? just set the vtec and other things the way I want them? as far as disabling things goes what is ELD, atmospheric pressure sensor, injector test circuit, and vtec speed check?

I would suggest that you do some reading about EFI tuning and the basics of the Honda PGM-FI system before you go moving or disabling anything. You aren't goign to get any gains from moving the VTEC to where you want it. It has to be set to where the engine makes best use of it. For that you need a dyno.
If you are unsure what an ELD, baro sansor and VTEC speed check are then you need to do a some reasearch into how your car works. Try doing a Google search on each item and see what you can come up with.
Knowing as much as you can about each part of the PGM-FI system before you start messing around with it would be the good place to start. There is a sticky at the top of the page called "Good reading for tuners" give that a boo. And there are a few good books out there on EFI tuning as well.

Re: Crome Base map?
if your burning the chip from Crome. All you have to do is make sure you do a test connection. Then make sure that there is a Check in “Used for 27SF512” under File->Settings->Real Time Programming in Crome.
Or
Or
chip start address - 08000
chip end address - 00ffff
buffer start address - 000000
buffer end address - 007fff
file offset - no idea, burn1 does not use that. I'd guess 000000 since there should be no offset since you're addressing the location directly with the 256 bytes of data.

Im using a superpro/280 universal programmer they have the SST 27SF512 chip under devices. The only options I have when I first open the bin file are buffer address and file address. When I set the buffer address at 8000 it looks like it will burn on the latter half of the chip.

Re: Crome Base map?
im starting to think it doesnt matter what ecu you run. i think it just matters what engine u got.
but besides it saying d16/b16 as long as it has vtec. you can just use the base map fuel and ignition settings and copy them into a p28 ecu.
i dont see the difference. but i might b missing the point here
