So I got the Rev limiter taken upto 6.5k and am now boosting 10psi. I drove it about 300 miles and have the Rings every opportunity to try to still seat. Then I did a compression test and a leakdown test with a quality leakdown tester here are my results.
Otis 00 si compression test

Leakdown*

#4. 94
And no air coming from the throttle body or exhaust. Only heard air from block vents/catch can and oil cap

How much oil are you burning out of curiosity?

It was the 45 minute idle break in with additives that I think did it in.

Read that article about breaking in fresh engines. It makes sense and has worked for many people.
Let us know how things work out. Sorry for your misfortune but the best lessons are the hardest ones learned sometimes. Hopefully your guy will help you out in the rebuild.

I will keep you all posted. I plan on doing a E85 fuel line upgrade this week then knock out the the re-ring and re-hone next week and get it dynoed. The last motor a built I took straight to Bisimoto dyno and had it broken in there. I never asked the builder how to break it in. This time I made the mistake of asking him instead of just doing what I did last time. Lesson learned. Smh
