YOU CAN'T, genius
You can slide and recover it with a steer, but it's still not drifting, i dont' give a expletive how good ur at pulling the e-brake
Yeah the guy with that white coupe definately had some skills, but he was still just sliding and correcting, there was no DRIFT involved...</TD></TR></TABLE>
So, for arguments sake, what is the actual definition of drifting?
Is there even a "car related" definition of the word? If there is one, Im doubting it mentions which wheels are driving the car, or if ebrakes are required, or whether or not the car is maintaning speed or accelerating through the turns.
If there is a definition, lets find it. If there isnt, then what you (or anybody) considers actually drifting, is simply an opinion.
In my opinion, FWD drifting is just as ghey as any other drifting.

Drifting = power sliding, you can powerslide a FWD, its called UNDERSTEER.
NINJA EDIT:
"There is some debate over whether or not front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles can drift, which is often accompanied by the false notion that anything done to make the rear wheels "slide" automatically qualifies as a drift. In hindsight, FWD cars are not able to carry out a drift as a drift is often controlled by applying power to the rear wheels - which FWDs are inherently unable to do. A simple source for this claim is the restriction D1GP applies, wherein FWDs do not qualify for entrance into the event."

Back in my teenage years we used to get the Food trays from burger king and put them under the rear tires and pull the e-brake I'll tell ya what if you do that a civic can drift.

But that article is filled with personal opinions, misinformation, and contradictions. Im looking for something more official.
Example of misinfo:
"A simple source for this claim is the restriction D1GP applies, wherein FWDs do not qualify for entrance into the event."
This is taken straight from the D1 website:
"Only FR, RR,FF and MR drive-trains(Two Wheel Drive Cars) are allowed."
So apparently, the D1 Grand Prix Series recognizes FF as able to drift.
hmm

Drifting = Lame
Drifting FWD = More Lame
Arguing about whether or not you can drift a FWD = the most lame thing I've seen in a long time.
Who's worse the OP for asking or all the others for arguing whether or not you can drift a Civic. Who cares, its lame either way.

No doubt. CRX's are WAY better drift cars.

Too much Tokyo Drift not enough Fast Furious 1!!! If you drive a civic keep doing what they're good at, street racing and jacking 18 wheelers filled with electronic goodies! And get as many strut bars as you can! Good luck

Exactly what the membership wanted.
I'm SO glad that I still check in once in a while. This is pretty priceless, and I don't even hate drifting!

Who the expletive would use wikipedia as a reliable source to back something up? I mean seriously....

LOLz... so true
LOLz... so true
So.....
What IS drifting? I see a bunch of people sliding around and destroying tires and making noise, and spikey haired guys making funny poses, and skinny Asian chicks girls in plastic dresses. I don't understand.
I even have friends that are self-proclaimed drifters. I ask most of them about it and how to learn and they can't tell me.
"How do you get started?"
"You go to practice days."
"And practice what?"
"You know, your techniques."
"Such as?"
"You, different ways to drift, you know."
