try researching a little first, ur trying to get into a sport that requires a lot of patience and skill, along with the fact that it has a pretty steep learning curve. Have plenty of money too, because no car was designed to drift so have money ready to spend on broken suspension parts, engine parts, let alone tyres.

You made me die a little inside.
ok heres what you do: go to Mcdonalds steal two plastic trays place them under your rear tires and pull up your emergency brake, and drift to your heart's content.

thanx alot for that comment. I have never seen a FWD car at a drift contest, but it doesn't mean they don't exist. some guy in BR says he drifts his car, idk how. but i don't want to give invalid info. and like the guy above said, it takes alot of money to do it. the no way n hell was just me bein frustrated about ppl who try to drift FWD cars, and just look stupid doin it.

No it does, they don't exist...because u can't get the constant power in one direction taht you need to drift... it's a physical impossability, has nothing to do with the skill of the driver..
at OP:
In any event...it just makes me wonder if ur serious about it or u just saw tokyo drift and think u can pull **** like that by pullin the e-brake a lil (which is what's most likely what u think)

****, I remember when I used to sneak out of auto shop (in the back of my school) and oversteering thru corners. We had one huge lot in the front of the school and one in the back. When it rained, people crowded up and they watched me "drift" my ef hatch (1920 lbs
) in the back lot. Everybody gave me props, I got it down so good... I never made a big deal about it, I know it wasn't "drifting" but I had a lot of fun in my senior year
I adjusted my ebrake so good that it locked the wheels at the 4th lock and it took caressing of the brake, the pull of the ebrake and then gassing it at the right time... blah, it was a ball anyways

hahahah. love it. and I know FWD is impossible to drift in, but hey. I still never got the point in havin wheelie bars on FWD cars, so apparently I don't know everything. I know how drifting works and all. I have at the EAF in Las VEgas 2 weeks ago. great show. so FWD=no drifting. but anything is possible, not great, but possible. lol.

Yeah, too bad ur lying tho, eh?
You can pull the handbrake in a FWD car and slide the back end out, u can even steer into the opposite direction to whip it around hte opposite way, you CANNOT drift in a FWD car, it's physically impossible, you can "slide" in a FWD car by flipping up the e-brake, the concept of "drifting" is where u maintain ur speed and slide on an angle...you can't just drive down a road, rip up the e-brake and claim ur drifting.....
Watch a real event...not tokyo drift, like a real, actual drifting event and u'll see why it's not possible....
I almost feel bad for these people, I hope somebody locks this topic....

look syndacate the dude with the EG/EK was not claiming he drifted. he was just sliding across the surface, that's why he put the drifting in ' marks. and anyone who actually knows what drifting is, like u said holding an angle and keeping a speed, knows that FWD vehicles can't drift. Don't be so harsh, I feel shorry for these ppl. what the hell, no one is like 'special' in this threat, atleast not all of us. Just some ppl don't know all the facts and everything about cars, or their abilities.
