Went to the track tonight...how is my time? B16 89 CRX SI
Well I went to the track in my beater car today for the first time. It wasn't the smartest thing to do considering the condition of the clutch but I figured what the hell.
The clutch in this car slips so bad that it would not do a burnout in the waterbox. To launch it I was just droppin the clutch from 2500 and it would slip up to about 7k and hold that till the tranny finally caught up. It would also slip hard going into each gear. That being said...
Best run of the night was a
60ft = 2.3861
330ft = 6.5467
1/8et = 9.8943
1/8mph = 73.55
1000et = 12.7596
1000mph = 84.27
1/4et = 15.0206
1/4mph = 93.28
All my runs were very consistant and the clutch hated me afterwards. Best mph of the night was a 93.50
Anyway, what do you think of my times?
I think with a clutch this should be a solid mid/high 14 sec car and should be good for trap speeds of 95 or so. I hope at least.
Feedback?

Why even post times with a clutch is in that condition? What do you hope to compare to? Fix the clutch, get times with a working car, then come back with times and no excuses.

Not trying to make excuses...just wanted to have some fun in my "beater" car before I replace the clutch. Believe me, it will see the track again, just as my "other" car will.

new clutch plus a good tire and better short times and you will be in the 14's. you are probably not to the level yet where you need slicks all the time but once you run on slicks you will never go back to anything else. atleast i didnt. my car before was making well into the 300's so slicks were nice...ont he new build im going for 500+ slicks are the only wayt o go. i will never run on a street tire again. plus the feeling you get on slicks is great! good luck bro...nice times on the goat
