I have a wiring diagram to setup the launch timer, two step and spool up from a clutch switch. If you are still using the clutch to shift you will need to wire a relay to prevent the rpm/time curve from reseting every shift.

let me know if you want the diagram

Just wondering, why would the 7531 be illegal?

The 7531 is still illegal to my understanding in a couple of different sanctioning bodies.

It is illegal due to what it is capable of, a good ecu is capable of the same things. This is the reason behind the 7531T box. At the end of the day without the right person behind the controls it is usesless.

Not a Honda, but here is a Digital 7 that I put in an S10 drag truck. It used a carbureted engine with multiple n2o kits. The Digital 7 was an excellent tuning tool since you could do launch contol, multiple timing retards, ramp up the amount of retard ect.

Here is a before pic:

After rewiring and installation of the Digital 7:

Did one wire at a time. I spent quite a time on straightening it out. I like electrical challenges like that It is nice to see the after product when you see something like that.

I think Pro stock (?), not SC Drag Racing. But I dont think it was ever illegal in any SC drag series.

This may be splitting hairs..or a loophole, but the 7531 has been illegal for NHRA competition, but.....the MSD 75314 has always been legal (4 cyl only).

It is quite easy to use, and reliable as well. The software, is a bit archaic, to say the least.
