that doesnt surprise me. it would be a huge tragedy to have a honda beat a domestic on cable tv.

 

it seems most of hte domestic cars on the show are cars that the owners have been driving for years....and the import cars are cars that are thrown together at the last min, so they have to "guess" what the car will run.

everybody is building a 9 second car if you read these forums.....people think because 1 person went 9's with 600 horsepower that they are going to run 9's as well. as you can see, a 600 horsepower car doesnt get down the track very well with out several other aspects of the car being adressed, and a driver that knows how to get the car down the track.

that and im sure the domestic guys say they run a half second slower than they actually do....i havnt been to the "street races" in YEARS....but nobody ever tells the truth, that kind of defeats the purpose.

i do think they need to find a better way to pair up cars. a 20 car head start isnt worth wasting time on the race....either should have just given up the car or went home at that point.

regardless that car was at the most a high 10 sec car. 127 trap speed heavy *** car and young driver that car wasnt going far against that trans am regardless. in order to beat that trans am that import would need a car setup correctly w/ suspension, tire and driver experience not to mention at least 600whp.

i was glad to see an import VS domestic episode of pinks! on speed channel. But of course the domestic crowd would bring a F-Body, so why wouldn't the import crowd bring a Hatch or CRX. Could no one produce a GSR turbo'd hatch, not that i could pull one out of my ***, but someone?

couldn't have stated it better, the car needed something other then alittle uberdata tune. and some sort of launch control,2 step, or anti-lag.

 

i also think that this a great stepping stone for the import community, so now in the future someone can bring a lot more to the table. So i guess i am saying thanks jon, you have taking the first step and when full race or whoever races next season and wins it will so much sweeter. Just my .02

that last race was just stupid, the ws6 was making around 650 hp off the bottle so on nitrous hes making almost 800 hp, the civic making apparently 600....

they race with the civic having only 2 lengths???????

the ws6 launches a hell of a lot harder and makes more power so i dont know what rich was thinking on this one
