Default New Dart block issues???? help?

Over the weekend I heard from some people sponsored by Dart that their new Dart-built engine dropped a cylinder sleeve and blew up. Has anyone else heard of this problem? Please post details if you have any So we all can learn about it.

I was thinking of having a friend get one of these blocks to for his race car we are building up. If this is the case then, I'd just rather spend less $ for a GEM block if there really IS trouble with the Dart blocks.

I dug deeper into what I was hearing and there IS soem truth to some of it.
Here is what I know so far.
The engine was one built by Dart as an all-motor combination for a team from Dallas TX. Past that I don't know or cannot comment on anything else. Again, if anyone knows anything please speak up.

Why bring something up like this if you dont have any facts. Thats how these good companies get a bad rap. I think your post should be removed. Rob

So because one motor had problems, thats enough to raise gossip about a company? I got news fella, motors blow up. Also, its the driver or the install 95% of the time. So you should ask him before you say the blocks are bad.

Just for the record, we are the supposed team sponsored by DART, but the truth of the matter is we are not sponsored by DART, we are sponsored by its creator Tom Payn. We are not running the block, since NHRA made it illegal. We were using a Honda block, in which a sleeve fell, so please do not give a company a bad rep, based on 'he said, she said'!!!!

I never said this was fact. I only said that something was going on and "THE FACTS" needed to be brougth up. There have been many who are thinking it was a dart block, but no one has picturers yet to prove any of it. Thsi was NOT a direct slam onto any manufacturer. It was a question because there is questions about it. If you are reading it that way, your sorely mistaken guys. You need to go back and re-read what is being stated. I asked a question and stated a comment abot "IF" it was this or that, that we were not going to use it. Please explain to me where this was slamming a manufacturer? The only thing that would even pose the question ws the sleeve dropping and that is a different matter.

Since the rep for the team is here now, How about you post what happened and give us all an inside view with picturers as wo what exactly happened?

Oscar, who exactly thought we were running a dart block? Most of my people dont get on here, so you and I probably dont know each other. Actually it reads like you are trying talk about something that you DONT know about. There are better ways for you to post this question, and in the future, since you have such keen detective skills, just IM me and ask instead of posting this like you needed help with your DART block.

I just needed help with deciding on weither or not the new block was in-fact an issue or was it something else. As for my profile, why should I provide info as to were i'm located if I can't trust 90% of the people on line? I've had mail with my social and work checks stolen from our mailbox, we've had fraud credit charges on our cards before, so why shoudl I endanger my family over an online forum? It's called protecting your interests. I would think you being from a big team woudl understand that but that's my thoughts on it. It should not change my credentials at all.

So let me get this straight, The block WAS NOT the darton new block then? So why did the sleeve drop? I was told Darton themselves build the engine. Is this true? If so what was the cause of the issue? I was told it blew up on a dyno machine. That it never made it to the track. Is this true? I'm trying to see what's the issues and why things happen, I'f i'm goign to be involved in somethin I want it 110%. I don't want to take a chance at all with this guy's motor. If ya can't see that then I'm sorry, but I have questions that shoudl be answered before anyone spends any $.

Are you talking about Darton Sleeves, or a DART block, beacuse they are 2 different things.
