I've using Griots, but it's expensive.

Actually been wanting to try Mr. Pink from CG, but I haven't gotten to ordering it.

If everything goes smoothly, the civic will be getting Opti-coated before summer. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures, and to cover the steps/products I use.

Which 4-5 products do I totally HAVE to have for proper car care in between my professional detailings?

I need something to wax/seal my wheels in the coming week or so. I have a thread in GDD, but help here is good too

thanks!

2 buckets, a good quality mit, good soap.
A good drying method, with good quality microfiber towels, or use air and MF's.
good wheel cleaner with the appropriate brushes, mits, etc for wheel cleaning.
Wax or a sealant.
Tire dressing, if you like.

that would be my bare minimum for the exterior.

Cool, glad this thread was easy to find so I wouldn't have to make a new topic haha.

Alright, so I just bought a 99' Civic EX over the weekend for a decent price. In general, the paint is pretty solid for the rest of the body - but the roof and the bumper. I'm wondering if there's a way I can fix it without completely repainting the entire car. Pics are below:

So i was able to snag my uncles old tailgate off his truck. Plan is to do random things, wet sand, buff, etc. Show the damage that incorrect buffing techniques can cause.
It's black too.

Hey guys i need some help! How would i take off paint from plastic center caps? I searched and it said using paint stripper can damage or even melt the plastic. I was also informed that i can sand it. What grit of paper do i use? Is there any faster ways than sanding it off?

You will need to wet sand... try using a 2000 grit sand paper to see how much you can get off. Make sure to keep your pad/sandpaper as wet as possible.
