Default Python Alarm Reset :(

I recently took out the battery and somehow reset the alarm. The brain stayed mated with the remote so that works but now the auto lock/unlock feature no longer works when I turn the car on (it does work when I press the buttons)

What's the procedure to get it working?

I saw

Start Car
Open Door
Turn Off Car
Leave Door Open
Left , Right, Left buttons
Close Door
Arm/Left

But that seemed to just turn on Valet? haha

Python 990

Semi answered it myself.

I recently swapped out the remote start harness that was connected so I could clean up the connections - I believe because the Pink harness wire is not on there is no ignition signal so it doesn't unlock/lock automatically. I also don't believe I can program it without the Bitwriter when it's setup. The valet button apparently requires the remote start harness as well.

If you are not using the remote start you will need to connect the yellow lead of the ribbon harness, [that went to remote start relay satellite] a "true" ign. source. 94

Hi Muffin Man,

The same thing happened to me!! I have a Python 990 two way remote start system installed on my car and I somehow reset my alarm when changing the battery. Now the key fob and my car don't talk to eachother at all. Could you give me instructions on how to program the system again??

I'm not too technical, so step by step instructions would help!!

Thanks so much.
