is there a relacement tailgate switch that does not fail to function in cold weathers

 

Switch? Can you be a little bit more specific?

 

We bought the CRV down south. When we came back to the midwest and to colder weather the switch to the tailgate latch only works intermitantly. When researched this seems to be a common problem with Honda tailgate latches. i am wanting to know if there is an improved switch for the tailgate latch. Or a fix for the existing one. We can operate the switch by holding it for a period of time or by warming it with a hair dryer.
