That one looks good enough. I haven't noticed any difference in types of caps to say this or that one is better, they all seem the same, but that LED voltage reading could be handy when you're charging or discharging the cap.
50$ is about the limit I would spend on a cap too.

I've found that generic caps only work for a while then they do nothing but sit there and display voltage. I've never had that problem with my stinger cap.

upgrade alternator, wiring, and battery. Not necessairily in that order. Also a cap may help a little bit, but not theone that you posted.

correct me if im wrong but i dont see how anybody even knows what the guy has. So... what do you have fir a setup?

Also, forget the 1 farad and 2 farad caps alltogether, they are not worth a damn.

If you want any "cap" get an Alumapro or one of the other name brands that uses the same manufacturer but puts their name on it.

If you want something that is going to really help take care of your prob get a good battery, with high cold cranking amp (CCA's). Stock Civics are 450, Optimas i believe are somewhere around 750-850, without checking.

Next i would try either a http://www.batcap.net/ or an upgraded alternator. Their is a guy in TX that does rewound factory alt's for like $180 for, i think, all Hondas. Mines been working great for over a yr now. They are 135 Amps for the GSR.

I also wouldnt listen to folks that give recomendations when they dont even know what you got.

Cheesey marketing there. "Digital capacitor" makes it sound like its fancy when it's just a regular farad cap with a digital display that displays voltage

Correct me if Im wrong but I believe that there are only 1 or 2 capicator manufacturs that produce them. Streetwires, Alumapro, etc all buy their capacitors from these companys and add their decals/digital read outs to them. The only real difference is the connectors on top and bells and whistles

^^^^^ Very true.

Also, some time back Car Audio and Security did a bench test on various "cylinder" caps vs. the new ultra-high capacity (5, 10, 50 Farad) caps and found very little benefit to the latter.

An alternator is the way to go! A battery starts your car, then gets charged by the alternator as you're driving around. It is not the means to an end in regard to dimming lights or voltage fluctuations.
