Default HID Install: Relay Problem

I am trying to connect an H4 HID Conversion Kit to my Jeep Cherokee and am having some issues. I figured this forum woudl be my best bet for my problem.

First,
The Vehicle: 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, IPF Halogen (H4) Conversion Kit.

The HID Kit: Catz Just White H4 Kit

The Problem: After wiring up the lights they illuminate fine. They work great while driving but after we turn the car off the lights stay on till the decide to go off. When they do this they turn into strobe lights for a few seconds. Then the relay under the dash begines to click loudly. At first is is fast and almost buzzing. It then turns into a heavy clicking that persists 100% of the time the car is turned off. As soon as I start the car up the clicking stops.

I assume this has something to do with the stupid feature this car has where if you turn the car off before the lights the lights will stay on for about 60 seconds and then turn themselves off. Regarless of if the lights are turned off first the lights stay illuminated and then the clikcing begins. There is no combination to about this issue. Wetheer the car goes off first or the lights first the problem described above happens everytime

Can anyone advise what my problem might be and if there is a work around for this?

Is this the H4 High/Low kit or just the Low kit?
You mentioned Relays under the dash, Are these the Relays in the Catz Harness or another Relay?
Are the Ground wires all secured and with a good ground?

agreed, check the grounds and if they are fine you should be able to get the headlights at the switch inside the car (lt. green + in the steering column)

12volts
red & pink/black
+
ignition harness

Ignition dark blue + ignition harness
Parking Lights+ black/yellow headlight switch
Parking Lights-
Headlight lt. green + steering column
Trunk/Hatch Release

Grounds are good and secure and have been moved to test the ground. Can retest if that is needed.

The relay is a JEEP part that is built into the car just behind the switch undr the dash. I'd be happy to bypass it or replace it if it meant the HIDs woudl work.

I am not sure which kit it is Mike. It has an R Code of AAA004 on it if that helps. I flipped the high beams the other day and say very little change so I would assume low beam only.

Also I called catz and their office is closed indefinitely . . .

it almost sounds like you might need to put a diode inline with the switch wire from the kit.

IF you say so. What would that do? What is the purpose of a diode I suppose I mean.

Just talked to someone that is decent with wiring. We discussed bypassing that relay for the light stay on feature. Anyone see an issue with that? I don't care about the feature but don't want to damaage the car for the sake of brighter light either.

a diode is like a one way valve (it only lets either ground or 12v through depending which way it is installed). it seems as if signal is bleeding back into the factory switch causing it to "buzz"
