Default switching wire for in dash dvd install

When installing the in dash dvd it asks to hook up to yoru parking brake sensor light. Now I want to bypass that so that my girlfriend can watch movies and maybe if she drives i play a lil xbox.....is that wire 12 volt????

or what is a similar wire i can tag too...thanks

ground the "ebrake" wire bro....

just install it to a secure ground connection....part of the chassis....is a good idea..just sand it to bare metal so you get a good connection

if it's an alpine, it'll take a little more than that....but it's not hard at all to do...let us know how it goes.
