Amps and Sub question
whatever you want. set a budget. check woofersetc.com for decent prices. Personally I think a good 10" sub around 500RMS is plenty for most vehicles. Something quality like JL, RE, or on the cheaper side but still good value with Alpine, Infinity, etc.
Kind of an open ended question, it will depend on the rest of the system and as mentioned, a budget.
I also agree a 10" in a proper sealed box is an all around good pick, wattage will again depend on rest of system, sub bass should be about 3 times the wattage of the total of the rest of the system.
EG; say what you have is 4x25W RMS, thats 100W total so you should have 300W RMS to a sub. 94
