Default Amplifier install

I am trying to put in an amplifier in my 98 prelude to the factory headunit. Does anyone know where I can hook up the remote wire? I tried the yellow and white wire on the wiring harness as circuit city told me it was the power antenna wire and didnt work. Any ideas??

froom the top of my head you are going to need a line out inverter since you wont have pre amp signal.
if i remember correctly, the line out inverters will have the remote turnon spot to go from the amp to that, and when that senses signal from the speaker level inputs it will turn on.

its been a while since ive done one of them .

Behind the radio there will be one wire that turns on and off with the Key, that is your accessory wire, that is the wire you are looking for, use a T-tap and tap into it, run the remote wire from that. Use a multimeter to test for 12 volts with the key.

and make sure you test this wire when the car is off also, because you dont want a constant 12 volts or it will drain your battery.
