Well, what started out as a shitty night ended as a sweet night.

I was on my way home from work and one of the bolts holding the header to the test pipe backed out and I was running 1/2 open header. Needless to say it was loud and I needed to fix it.

I figured the reason why it backed out is because I didn't have any springs on the bolts and it vibrated the hell out of it. So I picked up some springs and headed home.

While I was down there I figured I'd fab up a front engine mount that would work with the new innovative mounts x-member. While I was looking around for a piece of metal I could work with, I saw the stock front tow-hook. I made a couple spacers, and with a couple of bolts and washers, viola! A front engine mount that works REALLY well.

I took off the passenger side engine mount and filled it with Windo-Weld also. Now both side mounts and the front mount are all poly-filled, along with the front torque mount being bolted to a piece of immovable steel.

I'll get some pix up tomorrow. I think it came out really well. All this coupled with the poly bushings I put in the x-member should put an end to my wheel-hop issues.

But it's JDM.

Seriously though, I'm going to rig up a full-throttle switch and go to the strip. I am itching to race again.

Hell yeah, the bolt holes are perfect, with one "slider" hole for adjustment!

I'll get some pix up today.

Wow, I realized I never took those pix. I re-designed the mount anyway, it's better now. I have to Loctite-it all tomorrow, so I'll take pix then. I was really pleased with it.

I also used my spiffy new micrometer to measure the Vitaras that I got from FJT.

If anyone wants to help on the quest for proper piston to wall clearance, help out: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2045271

(and before streetwerkz chimes in, I am getting a full throttle switch, so nos is on the way. )

Scratch that, going to the track Friday evening!

Things I'm doing different:

-Preloading
-Lower drag radial pressure
-Removing rear bumper cover (it's not a beauty pageant)
-Crossmember poly bushings
-Solid steel front engine mount (I still gotta do a write-up)
-Taller rear tires (better weight transfer. Raising the pressure in them too.)
-Better gapped plugs
-FULL THROTTLE nitrous activation. **** that damn shift **** button. <---That's gonna be the greatest asset right there. I can actually focus on driving.
