Re: a simplified awd build
Seems like something happened to Trevor though. Was kinda odd how he basically completed the car, then just abandoned the thread...

Re: a simplified awd build
I opened up a shop here in Salem. I've been spending a ton of time with that at the moment but would love to do another awd build. If you guys ever wanna stay updated on my projects check my business page at T-rev Motorsports on Facebook.

Hey I saw on the initial parts list that you have CR-V front hubs. Do you need the entire front CRV knuckle, or just the front hubs? I'm not sure if they press into the spare DX/LX knuckles I have. Planning my build currently

Re: a simplified awd build
Been a long time out of the Honda scene but I thought I would share a little round 2 of my awd venture. I picked up this 90 crx dx off craigslist already awd converted with a d series, allot of the stuff was jury rigged so I fixed what I thought needed it. It's now got a turbo b20 in it, stock bottom end, arp rod bolts and head studs, crowed 404s, B16 intake manifold and will be getting a css b20 block down the road with Nippon pistons and Scat rods. I've only had the car for about 3 months now and it's still in its early stages with much more to come.

Re: a simplified awd build
seeing so many sucessful awd builds I just couldn't help but wanna do my own. this will all be going on my eg hatch that has a built 84mm lsv on e85 that made 408whp on 16lbs. if everything works out Ill probably raise the boost a bit more and shoot for 500awhp more pics this weekend.
after I picked up all the drivetrain parts from both the crv and wagovan I started doing a bit more research. I found that the wagon rear diffs prove to be very stout also the wagon rear axles are much larger diameter. I decided to go with the crv trans, drive shaft front and rear hubs and wagon rear diff and axles.
parts list used on the build:
crv front hubs (same as jdm itr)
97-01 base model prelude axles, yes the plug right in and work with 36mm hubs.
crv 5 speed tranny (works with any b series hydro clutch thats right awd with a twin disc!
crv drive shaft (may switch to a wagon one down the road if the crv driveshaft doesn't hold up)
wagovan rt4wd rear end
two drivers side wagon rear axles (dr side is 1.75" longer then the passenger side axle)
crv rear hubs, unbolted from crv trailing arms and welded to bored out eg trailing arms
all new ss brake lines
all new sloted and drilled rotors
energy suspension rear trailing arm bushings
all new front tie rod ends
new front camber kit
my goal for this car is to have a powerful civic that will have usable power on the street and strip. Id like the car to run low 11's on street tires and still handle well.

Re: a simplified awd build
Would love to know how you figured how to clock the hub / bearing flange before you welded it to the civic. Since I’m doing my build to only 500whp was thinking to do awd.
