installed a 1" mc and booster from a teg along with a 40/40 prop valve last night, finished up both rear trailing arms and realized that once I tightened the wagon axles into the crv rear hubs they locked up. I found where it was snagging and ground the axles to fit. the entire rear end is done. taking the drive shaft to six states (drive shaft shop) to get shortened. a little worried about using a crv driveshaft since every one else runs a wagon one but we'll see what happens.

Everyone used the wago drive shaft because of the viscous coupling center differential.. it'll eat up the extra rotations when using a CRV trans and wago rear. I'm curious how your car will feel with a "normal" drive shaft and wrong ratios with same size tires all the way around.

Im pretty sure it will feel fine, if not Ill do what epic tuning does and run slightly bigger up front. took the driveshaft in today to get it shortened and the guy doing it made me feel better. he said the weak link in the crv driveshaft is going to be the U joints and he said sometimes its alot better to have a weak link there where its alot cheaper to fix then busting a transfer case. once the drive shaft is done Ill be building a couple driveshaft loops to help with keeping the car safe if it brakes.

Post a lot pics when you get is back from them.. You took it to Drive Shaft Shop, right? Ask them about the adapters they can make to allow the use of some American U joints, I plan on running bigger/ better U joints and a 1pc. aluminum shaft.

forgot I had this video of when it was still fwd with the gsr tranny.

getting really close to being finished, redid the down pipe today and doing the exhaust later using my buddys lift then just waiting on the drive shaft and shes done. also need to bleed the brakes a bit more though they feel a bit mushy. Ill post some videos as soon as its road ready and awd.

old mc and booster.

Damn this is a sick *** build. If I would have known the work you put into it I would have given it a 10/10. After your done clean it all up a bit and I bet a feature awaits.

no although it does look like that in the top picture. the axles have plenty of range of motion still left. If I wanted them to align better I would have had to drop the diff down and moved it back along with loosing about 2 more inches of ground clearance. last thing Im waiting on is the drive shaft. it should be done sometime this week. can't wait to get it in!

ya I had both rear diffs to choose from. the crv rear diff has smaller inner splines but uses the same outters (you have to grind the wagon axles a tiny bit to fit them into crv rear hubs) the crv rear diff doesn't even have a real bearing cap on it it uses the diff cover as the bearing cap. the wagon rear diff can also use a d series lsd Iv heard but I just welded it, cheaper and full time locked which will make the car alot more predictable too.

what are you going to do if you have to change a rear wheel bearing ? they might not like the heat from being welded on.

got the custom drive shaft back today and put it on. with it hooked up there seems to be a pretty bad vibration coming from the back of the car. I believe that the driveshaft is too short and hyper extended. Im gonna try spacing it out tomorrow and seeing what happens. Im pretty sure its driveshaft related since the car drove perfectly fine with the rear axles in and no drive shaft and now it has a really bad vibration and when I got on it it seemed like it was fwd still lol. Ill post updates once I figure it out.
