Saw the vids on Facebook the other day and my buddy went out to the gut last night to see if you were gonna bring the beast out. Awesome build man, definitely one of the cleanest, well built cars I've seen come out of our area. Would love to make the prelude awd but I'm already so deep in my plans I think that projects gonna have to wait.
I saw you had some complete turbo kits for sale for 1500 installed, but I was wondering if you mess with ITB's too? You had a couple pics of that ITB'd b18 and that was a cleeaaaan build. If so, might be comin up there to do some business with you in the near future.

thanks dude. ya unfortunately last night I broke a rear axles, but hey **** happens. just gives me a opportunity to improve the car and make it stronger. the car runs great and even getting just one good pull out of it has been worth every second and dollar spent on this. I have plenty of time to get it ready for summer so Im going to take my time and make sure its perfect now. honestly dont mess with itbs. you will be disappointed in terms of what your looking for on your car. get it turbo'd. you won't looks back... trust me lol. I messaged epic tuning on face book to see what they did for their rear axles to see if they would share the secret of want to sell me some. really excited to see where my build goes now that the ground work is layed out and its only going to get better from here. my buddy rode in it last night and he said it felt about the same as his friends 670awhp r32 skyline

Well as far as what I'm looking for, I'm looking for natural aspiration power. I've got my reasons for not boosting this particular project.
But thanks anyways man.
Did you bust the axle in a run at the gut last night? Told my buddy to take some videos if you ended up showing up.

Great build.
The way you welded the rear hub of the CR-V to the existing trailing arm is the same idea I had in mind. I was thinking of using the front hub and bearing off a 92-95 Civic Ex or Dx and welding in a sleeve to the trailing arm for the bearing and hub to live. I just don't know whether the rear axels from a wagovan would fit that bearing/hub combo. Would you know?

thanks guys. i tore the car apart since I broke the rear axle to move the diff up and back to stop the shitty axle angle issue I was having. Ive been lazy about putting it back together, combonation of shitty weather and getting a new d.d. that I really enjoy. Ill have it back together as soon as I feel the need to though lol. I plan on plasti dipping the car soon too once its back on the road. either matte black or digital snow cammo. not sure yet.
hey a couple things. the rear diff mount welded to the seat belt plates will flex under load and eventually fail. yes you need to run two long axles, mine i had to take apart and cut a little off the shaft that stuck into the cup. by welding the diff you made it now many times more likely to snap rear axles and if the VC ever gets rebuilt and locks up like new you may break the TC as well. lastly and the most important thing. the cr-v trans wont work for long, soon you will have second gear issues. this is of course if you rip on it and launch it hard . in order to make the trans last you have to be easy on first and second. mine has open front and rear difs and i still hook like im on glue , 1.7 60 fts are cake. i have yet to break a axle, a rear diff, or a transfer case. i have however burned out one VC from the front and rear rotations being different, and yes i run a slightly different tire size that the math says should work. but it still wears them out and im on my 5th transmission. im just under 500 whp . by the way your member number 2 of the AWD red eg civic hatch club, im the president
ps i saw your face book video , looks good. however your speedo will be way fast due to the fact a cr-v uses a 25ish inch tire and you probably have a 22-23 inch tire on it. what i did is i run a 24.5 inch tire (not the ones in my video) and that has my speedo to within 3-4 mph and i plan on using a speedo healer to correct the rest. here is a video of me doing about the same pull you did, notice how much longer i can rev out each gear with the taller tire and i had two 200 ib guys along with me as well.
and this is something you will need to learn to.

Sweet build! There is one thing that worries me.. IMO you should reinforce the seatbelt plates from the inside. The diff will be putting alot of stress on those.
