As all of us know Lowerd cars freaking rock, so ofcourse my car will need to be slamed but slaming a car can be a stupid thing to do in handleing and driveablity... one bad side effect is bump steer... thus the new project I started on today... getting rid of some of that nasty bump steer... what I have done is rasised the mouting point of the steringrack about 2 1/2 inches wich will give me a slot less bump steer...

I am not done at all I still need to modify the sterring coulm for this to work as well as the fire wall and maybe the rear motor mount...

I have see a kit for other cars that gives you alonger balljoint type thing with a large spacer, but I think my way will be safer... and if not I will need to find a new subframe I guess

Well this was a 1985 CRX DX with a Automatic Transmission (when I first got it)... so the Honda Stats for that car is 1743Lbs (stock) no gas... now keep in mind that even tho I am removeing a lot of weight I will also be adding weight with mods, like the cage/turbo/d16a1 all that.

Stock:

welded in place:

well I raised the shock mount 2 1/2 inches for stock like suspeion travel once I lower my car, sorry for the pic but its ugly at the moment untill I can clean it up here is a sneek peek:

Also I copyed retrocrx and rpr and installed fender supports:

Looking good Aren. Are you planning on geting the cage ad all blasted/painted? just noticed its still red inside so i'm guessing the cage will be moonrock to? keep up the good work and keep an eye out for that money order!!
