Of course they can. The sand blasters that they use on industrial-grade projects can take the religion off a Catholic: your tar won't stand a chance.

Sence I am useing the 1987 integra wireing harness for this project, it has a lot of usesless crap on it (ie: sunroof/AC/Power stearing/ex ex) so I decided to cut in to the harness and remove all the stuff that the car dose not need to funtion. so far it has saved me 10 lbs... sweet... again I am not done with it and I will be replaceing the loom with new stuff.

here is the naked harness with most of the useless wires off it:

and here is 10 lbs:

i woud'nt sand blast it, i know cars that were blasted and theres still sand in there, it won't ever all come out, so don't do that, i would put the car on a rotisserrie and take an angle die grinder to it and go at it, i have done this with a few muscle cars to get the old nasty **** off of it, worked great and didn't take that long,

That's because you had people media blasting it that didn't know entirely what they were doing. I have worked on a handful of media blasted cars (69 Camaro, 66 Chevy II, 93 Mustang LX) and none of them had sand left in them after they were blasted and pressure washed, and paying a few hundred sure beats the hours of agony you spend trying to get that off by hand. The 69 Camaro I worked on we actually had the entire underside powdercoated to match the paint, and it went on so easy having no residue left on after the media blasting.

Side note, about the wiring harness ever thought about making your own? It's not that hard, and you can get all the wires the perfect length to tuck them up under the fenders.

on the pedal assembly, it has this bracket that is prone to brake becasue of all the stress that the cable clutch puts on it... so I beefed up the spot welds...

have to have this thing bullet proof
