Default What happens when you use a cheap compression tester....

A friend of mine recently compression tested his GSR. He compression tested it, removed the guage from the hose which is a quick disconnect. He didn't know that the ***** that lock the quick disconnect fell down into the spark plug well, then he proceeded to unscrew the hose that threads into the spark plug hole and the ***** then made it into the cylinder. He found out real quickly that something was wrong.

No more Harbor Freight tester for Him.... HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Makes me glad my cheapo Harbor Freight tester doesn't have a quick disconnect. Of course I still don't trust it's accuracy. Also the bleed valve is now leaking when I use it. I need to invest in a good one some time. Any suggestions for something inexpensive yet dependable?

Just fill in the holes with weld and grind it down then have the head shaved. Might work?

My $60 Craftsman tester works great and came with a lot of adapters to fit just about any engine. Also came with an adapter to pressurize the cylinders which comes in handy for swapping valve springs.

Looks exactly like one of my previous engines after a screw from a skunk2 throttle body butterfly went through the engine.
