Default Compression Tool Extension... or am I doing it wrong?

I've got a compression tester that has a rubber hose. I can't get enough torque on the thread to hold to the spark plug holes. How does everyone else do this? As you know the spark plug holes are deep.

Any help would be great.

You should only have to tighten it by hand via the hose. Do you have the o-ring on the the fitting? Maybe that is why it is not sealing?

I tread it on the best that I can, but it still pops off. There is an o-ring on it.
