Is the OEM B-Pipe Resonator Stainless???
Hello all,
I had a quick question for anyone that might be in the know. Can you guys (& girls) tell me if the large resonator on the OEM B-Pipe is made of stainless steel? I know the piping itself is, but what about the resonator.
I ask because I grabbed a used JDM b-pipe from H-Motors and had to sand some rust spots off the top. At the time I just assumed it was stainless, and went ahead and installed it. Of course now that it's mounted under the car, I'm second guessing myself. Does anyone know for sure? If not, what is a good way to check. I remember something about "magnets not sticking" as a good identifier of stainless steel.

It depends on the stainless steel. Walk around with a magnet inside of an appliance store or a commercial kitchen and you'll find a lot of "stainless" that is still magnetic.
