Default Can you weld stainless steel and mild steel together?

I'm guessing you can, can anyone confirm? Can aluminized steel be welded to either one as well? TIA

yes and yes. use 309 filler/wire. I think its 309, is this correct??? its been a long week...

I just realized my 1st question was dumb given that there are stainless steel piping with mild steel flanges
